Melissa Currado
Melissa has extensive experience as a professional administrator with knowledge in project management, board governance administration, fundraising, database administration, communications and graphic design. She worked with the New York Council of Nonprofits (NYCON) for 17 years. She grew her career from Membership & Events Coordinator to Executive Assistant to the CEO to Vice President of Corporate Affairs & Grant Management.
Additionally, Melissa has coordinated countless events in both the private, professional and not-for-profit arenas for over a decade. She officially launched her own business, Melissa Caisse – Personalized Planning & Creative Experiences - in 2023 expanding her services to consulting, graphic design and curated inspirations, such as individual grazing boxes, screen printed apparel, and gift baskets. Melissa’s professionalism and ability to multi-task at the highest level with an exceptional eye for detail, organization and creative concept is paramount.
Melissa’s enthusiasm for organization, planning and sharing her creative talents with others are the foundation of her community volunteer work and sponsorship. She currently serves as a Board Member for the Albany Chefs’ Food & Wine Festival, as well as volunteers at several local not-for-profits. Melissa served as past Vice President and Board Member, as well as fundraising and marketing lead for the St. Paul’s Center of Rensselaer, NY. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys the outdoors, small towns, yoga and being creative, whether it’s with food, drinks, gifts, crafts or events. Melissa, her husband, daughter and mini goldendoodle enjoy their family together and reside just outside of Saratoga, NY.
